Board of Directors Following the acquisition of the PowerSeraya Group (our parent company) by YTL Power International Berhad on 6 March 2009, the new Board of PetroSeraya consists of the following five directors: DATO’ YEOH SEOK HONG Dato’ Yeoh Seok Hong joined the PetroSeraya Board on 6 March 2009. He is an Executive Director of YTL Corporation Berhad and YTL Power International Berhad. He heads the power and utility, construction and high-speed rail division of the YTL Group. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil & Structural Engineering Degree from University of Bradford, UK and is a member of the Faculty of Building, UK. Dato’ Yeoh was the project director responsible for the development and construction of YTL Power’s two Independent Power Producer power plants in Malaysia as well as YTL Corp’s Express Rail Link Project linking the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station. Dato’ Yeoh also led the YTL Power project team in the acquisition of ElectraNet S.A. in Australia, Wessex Water in the UK, Jawa Power in Indonesia, as well as the recent acquisition of PowerSeraya in Singapore. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DATO’ MARK YEOH SEOK KAH Dato’ Mark Yeoh is a Director of PetroSeraya, as well as an Executive Director of YTL Corporation Berhad and YTL Power International Berhad. He heads the hotels and resorts division of the YTL Group. He graduated from King’s College, University of London with an LLB (Hons) and was called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn, London. Dato’ Mark has grown the hotels & resorts division and the YTL Group today owns a portfolio of award winning premier properties comprising of 5-star hotels (Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur, JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur), luxury resorts (Pangkor Laut Resort, Tanjung Jara Resort, Cameron Highlands Resort, Majestic Malacca and Spa Village Resort Tembok Bali) and the Vistana chain of businessmen hotels in Malaysia. Dato’ Mark was also part of YTL Power’s project team involved in the acquisition of ElectraNet SA in Australia, Wessex Water in the UK, Jawa Power in Indonesia and the recent acquisition of PowerSeraya in Singapore. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JOHN NG PENG WAH Other than being a Director of PetroSeraya, Mr. John Ng Peng Wah is also the Chief Executive Officer of the PowerSeraya Group, an appointment held since May 2009. An industry veteran with more than 20 years of commercial and engineering experience under his belt, he transitioned with the Company from its PUB days to the current PowerSeraya Group. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Ng was the Group’s Senior Vice President of Retail & Regulations. During his tenure, Seraya Energy – the Group’s retail arm – witnessed rapid business growth and made it to the list as one of Singapore’s 50 fastest growing companies for two consecutive years. Until his appointment, Mr. Ng has also held other management positions within PowerSeraya, including General Manager of Business. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHAN SWEE HUAT Prior to his appointment as Director of PetroSeraya, Mr. Chan Swee Huat headed the Generation business as Senior Vice President (Generation) for three years where he played a pivotal role in ensuring high plant efficiency and availability and maintained the competitive standing of the Company in the new Electricity Market from 2004 to 2006. Trained as a Mechanical Engineer with over 25 years of experience in business development, planning, and management of power plant assets, he initially joined PowerSeraya in 2001 and headed the Business Development Group. In January 2007, he took on the position as Senior Vice President of the Trading & Fuel Management Group, as well as joined the PetroSeraya Board at the same time. He is in charge of planning, development and implementation of effective business strategies to grow the PetroSeraya business in the areas of physical oil storage, bunkering and chartering. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JOSEPH TAN CHOONG MIN Besides holding the position of Director in PetroSeraya, Mr. Joseph Tan is also currently the Director of Projects for YTL Power International Berhad. He is responsible YTL’s new projects and investments; including M&A acquisitions and Greenfield project development. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Bradford, UK and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the National University of Singapore. Mr. Tan has over 25 years’ experience in construction and infrastructure sector as well as in corporate planning and business development for large industrial groups. Prior to joining YTL Power, he was Manager for Corporate Planning & Business Development with Singapore Technologies Industrial Corporation Limited in Singapore. |
